Hi there,

I'm Renan Weignater, a musician born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1986. My musical journey kicked off in 2001 when I picked up the bass guitar, and in 2011, I delved into the realm of the Chapman Stick. Influenced by the profound sounds of Progressive Rock and Heavy Metal, I draw inspiration from the legendary bands that have shaped these genres.

Before acquiring a Stick, I spent a significant amount of time watching/listening to Tony Levin and Trey Gunn, as well as seeing interviews and play-alongs featuring Emmet Chapman. I also immersed myself in the performances of renowned Stick players within the community, including Greg Howard and Rodrigo Serrão.

I'm passionate about promoting this instrument as a standard instrument, intending to elevate its status alongside the guitar. My aim is to expand its recognition in the musical world not only through my music, but also by its sound via samples like Heavy Stick v1.0.
